Janice Noga is no stranger to the neon lights of Broadway, international stage or community theater. On the Great White Way, Noga was cast in A Tribute to Richard Rogers at Lincoln Center, Zorba, Fiddler on the Roof and Annie. She has delighted audiences with her incredible singing voice and her endearing ability to tell a story in numerous concerts in New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, London and Mexico City.

While Noga’s show business resume is filled with a vast array of success stories, her personal story is truly remarkable. In 1994, Noga nearly lost her ability to sing because of brain surgery. To speed her recovery and provide discipline to help memorize lines and perform scenes in front of a live audience, she took advanced acting courses in Shakespearian theater at California State University Fresno. And it worked. Within a year she was back on the stage singing again.

Noga became an original member of the Good Company Players Cabaret Act and was also cast as Mama Rose in Gypsy in the first Good Company Players theater production at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater in Fresno’s historic Tower District.

Noga was also a starring member of The Fourth Wall Theater in Visalia. Her stage roles included 84 Charing Cross Road, Steel Magnolias and Follies. She was a founding partner of Valley Women’s Theater (VWT) in California’s Central Valley where she appeared in Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road and Love Letters. Noga also produced King Lear for VWT.

Noga has now embarked on another role that is again shaping her life. She is starring as Janka (yan-ka), in the one-character play, based upon a letter written by Oscar Speace’s mother following her liberation from Nazi concentration camps. Created as a drama about one woman’s will to survive the horrors of Nazi Germany and her desire to experience the American dream, the play is written by Oscar Speace, an award-winning producer, director and writer.
